Out of the Chamber is a newly-founded artist collective that brings fine art and performance art by thriving locally-based San Francisco artists “out of the chamber”-- out of the traditional realms for fine art such as concert halls and auction houses, and into our neighborhoods and local community, engaging audiences and students of all ages in the creative process and harnessing the transformative power of artistic expression.

Serving as a gathering of the artistic minds within the local community across all genres of art, Out of the Chamber is a place where artists can explore collaborations that appeal to all the senses and express and intune the human experience in an endless possibility of combinations and mediums. This collaborative organization of locally-based, internationally-acclaimed working artists and musicians spans across all genres of art including music, dance, performance art, visual arts of all kinds, literature, poetry, film, and the culinary arts.

Our Mission is to celebrate and preserve, via our teaching and our individual and collaborative work, the beauty, diversity and uniqueness of our local culture, and to make the arts and arts education accessible to all audiences, in order to keep fine art at the very heart of local culture. We work to bring art, live performance and learning opportunities to audiences of all ages in an intimate and experiential setting. We believe intimacy between audience and performer creates a powerful experience for each, and music and art witnessed and studied in such intimacy can be a powerful transcendental experience.
